The Cat Box makes photo day easier.
Start a Photo Shoot for a kitten or cat you’re photographing. Every photo you take during their session is automatically linked to that kitten’s profile. Switch to the next kitten and start shooting again. No sorting through dozens of nearly identical photos afterward trying to remember who was who.
Turn on automatic watermarking and your cattery watermark will be added to photos for you, so they’re ready to share without opening another app.
And because photos taken through The Cat Box stay organized inside the app, you don’t have to clutter your personal camera roll with hundreds of kitten photos.
Need to send an update to a family? Pull up that kitten’s photos and easily share them right from the app.
Already have photos or videos on your phone? You can import them from your camera roll and attach them to the correct cat, kitten, or litter—including older photos and videos from before you started using The Cat Box.

A note from our family
We’re Teal and Skyler, the husband-and-wife team behind The Cat Box.
The breeder & idea person
Teal is a Bengal breeder, lifelong animal lover, and full-time caretaker of many pets. She knows firsthand that breeding involves much more than raising adorable kittens and taking approximately 4,000 photos of them sleeping. There are health tests, vet visits, pedigrees, breedings, records, contracts, waiting lists, families, updates, and countless little details to remember—usually while trying to find the coffee she just set down.
The developer & problem solver
Skyler has been building iOS apps for decades. He’s very good at what he does, enjoys making complicated things feel simple, and loves his wife enough to try and listen to her endless ideas about how everything could work better. He tolerates the pets, loves pizza, and hates onions, which are three important facts about him.
Teal brings the breeding experience and the constant stream of “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” ideas. Skyler somehow figures out how to turn those ideas into something real, useful, and easy to navigate.
Together, they combined their experience and talents to create The Cat Box—a simple app made to make life as a breeder a little more organized.
A few things you might be wondering
Yes! The Cat Box 1.0 is now available on the App Store for iPhone. Start for free with record limits, and subscribe to Pro in the app when you need more room.
Both! Whether you’re planning your very first litter or you’ve reached the “I really need a better system for all of this” stage, The Cat Box can grow with you.
Free gives you room to get started with a limited number of records. Pro removes those limits, so your cattery can grow without your record keeping getting out of hand.
Nope. Your originals stay exactly as they are.
Your watermark is added only to the copies you share, so you don’t have to choose between protecting your photos and keeping a clean original.
Upload your logo or watermark, then adjust the size, position, and opacity in Settings until it looks just right.
Your records aren’t going anywhere.
When your Pro subscription ends, adding and editing simply return to the Free limits. Your oldest records within those limits stay editable, while everything else is still there for you to view and share.
Newsletters, sync, and backups stick around too. No holding your kitten records hostage—we promise.
Right where you’d expect them: with you.
Your records are saved on your iPhone, with private iCloud sync when available. You can also export separate manual backups of your cattery records, photos, and documents.
Because changes and deletions can sync too, we recommend making regular exported backups. Think of it as the digital version of keeping a spare key—you’ll probably be very glad you have it if you ever need it.
Absolutely. Because nobody wants to start over.
Import supported photos, videos, files, scans, and links using The Cat Box’s import tools. You can also send supported content from other apps using the iPhone Share menu.
Spreadsheets and message histories aren’t automatically migrated, though. We’re helpful, but we haven’t quite mastered time travel yet.
No. Your conversations are yours.
The Cat Box does not read or copy your Messages conversations. You choose the saved media you want to add to a reply, or write a private family note yourself. That note is added to the family’s record the next time you open The Cat Box.
So you can keep useful family details organized without inviting The Cat Box into the group chat.
